She obtained her M.Sc. degree at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, in 2009, where she graduated top-of-class\u00a0and received the \u201cWilli\u2013Studer\u2013Award\u201d as an honor. In 2012, she defended her PhD thesis at the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry, ETH Zurich.\u00a0After her PhD studies, she did a post-doc at McMaster University, ON, Canada. In 2015, she returned to Poland, where she joined the Faculty of\u00a0Physics, Astronomy and Informatics.<\/p><p>Her research focuses on the development of new quantum chemistry methods that are applicable across the periodic table, the design of\u00a0interpretative tools for a qualitative understanding of complex electronic structures, and the theoretical modelling of heavy-element containing\u00a0compounds using conventional and unconventional electronic structure methods.<\/p><p>She is a co-author of 32 papers and 3 book chapters and the awardee of various scholarships and research fellowships (an \u201cEarly postdoc mobility\u00a0fellowship\u201d funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, a \u201cBanting Post-doctoral Fellowship\u201d funded by the Government of Canada, a\u00a0\u201cSONATA BIS\u201d grant from the National Science Center, Poland, a \u201cMarie Sk\u0142odowska-Curie Action Individual Fellowship European Fellowship\u201d\u00a0(MSCA IF-EF) grant of the European Commission, a START 2016 scholarship from the Foundation for Polish Science, and a scholarship of the\u00a0Ministry of Science and High Education for outstanding young scientists).\u00a0<\/p><p>More information can be found here:\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/fizyka.umk.pl\/~k.boguslawski\">http:\/\/fizyka.umk.pl\/~k.boguslawski<\/a><\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Katharina Boguslawski Dr hab.
