Anna Kłos

She received her PhD in 2016 and was granted with habilitation in 2019. She is working at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geodesy of Military University of Technology, Warsaw, since 2013 and currently hosts a position of associated professor of MUT. During her work, she is analyzing the geodetic time series in a context of kinematic reference frames realization and possible climate change.

She is a co-author of 32 scientific peer-reviewed papers in journals indexed by JCR and a co-author of 150 presentations given at the scientific meetings. She is a contractor in 18 scientific projects, including projects granted by European Union and by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), and a leader in a project funded by National Science Center within SONATA-12 call. She received START scholarship funded by the Foundation for Polish Science (in 2018), scholarship for outstanding young scientists funded by the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (in 2020), scientific award of the IV Department of Technical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences (in 2020) and scientific award for outstanding young scientists granted by European Geosciences Union (in 2021). She completed 9 internships in leading foreign scientific institutes, as University of Bonn, Deutsche GeoForschungsZentrum GFZ, University of Luxembourg or Royal Observatory of Belgium. She received 6 international scholarships. In 2019, she received a Visiting Professor position at the University of Bonn as a Mercator Fellow. She is an Associated Editor in the „Journal of Geodesy” and „GPS Solutions” journals. She is also the Editor-in-Chief of polish “Geodesy and Cartography” journal, which is published under the umbrella of the Committee of Geodesy of Polish Academy of Sciences. She is a member of Committee of Geodesy of Polish Academy of Sciences (2020-2024). She is a member of 7 international organizations and a chair in 2 international working groups of the International Association of Geodesy, „Time series analysis in geodesy” and „Assessing impacts of loading on Reference Frame realizations”. She is a Steering Committee member of the Inter-Commission Committee on „Geodesy for Climate Research” and holds a position of Science Officer within Geodesy division of European Geosciences Union. She gave 3 invited talks in foreign scientific institutes. She is a member of steering committee of Geodesy Section Outstanding Student Poster Awards within American Geosciences Union contest. She was an auxiliary supervisor of two PhD theses, and a supervisor in one PhD thesis. Currently, she is a supervisor of one PhD thesis.
