Agata Zysiak - sociologist, assistant professor at the University of Warsaw and Lodz. Works in historical sociology; popularizes the history of Łódź around the world - working scientifically and locally - acting in the Topografie Association. The author of a book about the socialist university and post-war social advancement, "Points for origin" (2016), the historical award K. Moczarski; co-author of "Tell the University" (2015) devoted to the University of Lodz from the perspective of oral history and the English-language book about Lodz and modernity: "From Cotton and Smoke" (2018). Member of the Institute for Advanced Studies at Princeton 2017/2018. She collaborated with the University of Michigan (Ann Arbor), Wayne State University (Detroit), CEU (Budapest), Free University (Berlin) and the University of Vienna.
