Artur Stefankiewicz

A Stefankiewicz bProf. dr hab. Artur R. Stefankiewicz obtained a master's degree in chemistry in 2005 under the supervision of Prof. dr hab. Wanda Radecka-Paryzek at the Faculty of Chemistry, Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań. Then he started doctoral studies in the group of the Nobel laureate, Prof. Jean-Marie Lehna in Strasbourg, which he graduated in 2009.

In 2009-2013 he worked as a postdoctoral trainee at the University of Cambridge (UK) in the team of Prof. Jeremy KM Sanders. His main research area is broadly understood supramolecular chemistry. He deals with the synthesis, research on the physicochemical properties and functions of multidynamic nanostructures such as nanocapsules, polymers and adaptive materials. He is a co-author of 60 scientific publications (H-index = 21), including the most prestigious ones, e.g. Science, Nature Commun., Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., Advance Science, Chemical Review, and Chemical Society Review.

Prof. dr hab. Artur Stefankiewicz is the beneficiary of many scientific programs, incl. Marie Curie (UE), Homing Plus (FNP), Lider (NCBIR), Sonata Bis (NCN) or Iuventus Plus (MNiSW). He has been awarded many times for his scientific achievements, incl. He was a BGF scholarship holder, laureate of the scientific award of the Polish Chemical Society for the best habilitation or the final award of the Polityka weekly. Since 2019, he has been a member of the Academy of Young Scientists.

Currently he is a vice-Director of the Center for Advanced Technologies UAM in Poznań and head of the Priority Research Area for Chemistry and Material Sciences in IDUB program. (EN)
