Jarogniew Luszczki

Prof. dr hab. n. med. Jarogniew J. Łuszczki (born 1974) graduated from the Faculty of Medicine of the Medical Academy in Lublin (1999), he works at the Chair and Department of Pathophysiology of the Medical University of Lublin. He deals with isobolographic analysis of interactions between antiepileptic drugs and the influence of cannabinoid receptor ligands on processes related to epilepsy. He created the basis for assessing drug interactions using the benefit index, taking into account the therapeutic and neurotoxic effects of the drugs administered together. He created the school of isobolographic analysis, promoting 10 doctors and 30 masters of pharmacy and medical analysis to date.

He is the author and co-author of over 180 original and review papers in the field of pharmacology and pathophysiology. He has received a number of scientific awards and distinctions, including: a scholarship for an outstanding young scientist from the Ministry of Science and Higher Education (2008-2010), the President of the Republic of Poland - Lech Kaczyński's distinction "My talent for Poland" (2006), a scholarship from the Foundation for Polish Science (twice in 2003 and 2004). He was awarded the Silver Cross of Merit (2012).
