My research interests are focused on forest ecology, in particular the mechanisms of trees regeneration. Many plants, including most of the forest-forming species in our climatic zone, produce seeds every few years, in a massed and synchronized manner over large (even sub-continental) areas. This phenomenon, called mast seeding, plays a central role in both forest regeneration and the functioning of food webs.

I defended my doctorate in 2017 at the University of Adam Mickiewicz in Poznań. I have completed several research internships, including at Harvard Forest (USA), University Autonoma de Barcelona (Spain), and Université Grenoble Alpes (France). I was a PI at five NCN grants, and I am also a partner in grants from foreign institutions, e.g. the British NERC. My work has been recognized as outstanding several times, including awards such as Scientific Award of the City of Poznań, Scholarship of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for outstanding scientists, Start Scholarship of the Foundation for Polish Science.
