She obtained her M.Sc. degree at ETH Zurich, Switzerland, in 2009, where she graduated top-of-class and received the “Willi–Studer–Award” as an honor. In 2012, she defended her PhD thesis at the Laboratory of Physical Chemistry, ETH Zurich. After her PhD studies, she did a post-doc at McMaster University, ON, Canada. In 2015, she returned to Poland, where she joined the Faculty of Physics, Astronomy and Informatics.

Her research focuses on the development of new quantum chemistry methods that are applicable across the periodic table, the design of interpretative tools for a qualitative understanding of complex electronic structures, and the theoretical modelling of heavy-element containing compounds using conventional and unconventional electronic structure methods.

She is a co-author of 32 papers and 3 book chapters and the awardee of various scholarships and research fellowships (an “Early postdoc mobility fellowship” funded by the Swiss National Science Foundation, a “Banting Post-doctoral Fellowship” funded by the Government of Canada, a “SONATA BIS” grant from the National Science Center, Poland, a “Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Individual Fellowship European Fellowship” (MSCA IF-EF) grant of the European Commission, a START 2016 scholarship from the Foundation for Polish Science, and a scholarship of the Ministry of Science and High Education for outstanding young scientists).
